What we collect, how AI processing works, how long we keep things, and how to delete them.
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Operated by: SASS AI
1.Scope and who we are
SASS AI (“SASS,” “we,” “us”) is an AI dating and texting companion. This Privacy Policy covers the SASS mobile app and this website (trysass.com). It explains what information we collect, how it is used — including how AI processing works — how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
SASS is an AI product, not a human, and not a licensed professional. Our Terms of Service describe how the service may be used.
2.SASS is for adults
SASS is for adults aged 18 and older only. You may not create or use an account if you are under 18. See Section 18 below.
3.Information we collect
Account and profile.
- The email address you sign up and sign in with.
- Your chosen display name.
- An account identifier (user ID) created for your account.
- Authentication and session information needed to keep you signed in.
- A profile photo, if you choose to add one.
Your content.
- Messages you send in normal saved chats, and SASS's replies.
- AI-generated conversation titles.
- Memory items you manage in “What SASS Remembers” (see Section 10).
- Information you choose to type about other people (for example, someone you are texting).
- No Contact timestamps and related feature data.
- Images you attach to messages in normal saved chats.
- Support messages you choose to email us.
Subscription. Your subscription and entitlement status, and applicable app-store purchase history as we receive it through our subscription provider. We do not receive or store your card or bank-account information — payment runs entirely through the app store.
Product interaction. Message counts and quota reservations used to enforce usage limits, conversation activity and ordering timestamps, and limited operational request information needed to run and protect the service.
What we do not collect.SASS’s app code does not collect: your precise or approximate location; your address-book contacts; health or fitness records; card or bank information; advertising identifiers; cross-app tracking or advertising data; your browsing or search history; or stored voice recordings. We do not run our own analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and under the current local-notification design we do not collect remote push tokens. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
4.Where information comes from
- Directly from you — when you create an account, chat, attach images, manage memory items, or email support.
- Generated during use — such as SASS's replies, conversation titles, and activity timestamps.
- From the app store and our subscription provider — your subscription status and entitlement state.
5.How we use information
- To provide the service: generating SASS's replies, saving and showing your chats and images, and running features like memory and No Contact.
- To manage your account, sign-in, and Premium access.
- To enforce usage limits and keep the service reliable and secure.
- To respond when you contact support.
- To detect, prevent, and address abuse and violations of our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app behavioral advertising.
6.AI processing and multi-image analysis
SASS’s replies are generated by AI. When you send a message, it is transmitted to our backend and the underlying AI model provider to generate a response. A bounded amount of recent history from the active conversation may be sent with it so the reply has context. SASS does not automatically send your other, unrelated chats, and images from prior messages are not automatically re-sent.
Images. When you attach images to the message you are sending, every successfully attached image is sent to the AI together — up to 10 images per message, in the same order they appear in your composer — and processed in one AI request to generate one reply. This is what powers multi-screenshot thread reads and photo comparisons. If a photo cannot be resized and compressed to the supported limit, it is skipped before it enters the composer and you are notified.
SASS AI does not use your content to train a model owned by SASS. Our AI model provider processes your content to generate responses, subject to its own terms.
AI output can be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate, and can be based on a misunderstanding of the text or images you provide. Use your own judgment before acting on it.
7.Normal saved chats
Normal chats are saved to your account so they are there when you come back. This includes your messages, SASS’s replies, the conversation title, and any images you attached. Images are stored privately and displayed back to you through short-lived, signed links. You can delete any chat at any time (Section 14).
8.Temporary Incognito
Temporary Incognito chats are local to your session and are not saved to your SASS account. Message text and any attached images are still transmitted transiently for AI processing so SASS can reply, but they are not persisted afterward — and Temporary Incognito images are never saved.
9.Private Saved Incognito
Private Saved Incognito chats are saved to your account with the message text stored encrypted at rest using a key held on your device. To generate each reply, our backend temporarily receives the plaintext of what you send. These chats are still linked to your account: they are not anonymous and not end-to-end encrypted. Photos attached in Private Saved Incognito are not persisted.
Incognito modes add separation — they are not a guarantee of secrecy. Please do not share passwords, financial details, or anything you cannot afford to have processed to generate a reply.
10.Memory you manage
Where memory features are available, you can manually create, view, edit, and delete “What SASS Remembers” items — notes that may describe people, relationships, or patterns you want SASS to keep in mind. These items are stored with your account until you delete them. SASS’s current AI requests do not automatically inject memory from your other chats, and SASS does not automatically extract memory items from your conversations. Please only save information you have the right to share.
11.Service providers and other disclosures
We use service providers to operate SASS. They receive information only as needed to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and private file storage.
- Railway — backend hosting and request processing.
- xAI — the current underlying AI model provider for generated responses.
- RevenueCat — subscription-entitlement administration.
- Apple — iOS app-store purchasing and billing.
- Vercel — hosting for this website.
Service providers that process personal information on our behalf are required to protect it consistently with this Policy and applicable law and to use it only to provide their services to SASS AI.
Once custom email delivery is activated, an email-delivery provider will process account emails such as confirmation and password-reset messages.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect the security of the service and its users and prevent abuse, as part of a legitimate business transaction, or with your consent.
12.Subscription information
Premium subscriptions are purchased through the app store and administered through our subscription provider. We store your entitlement status (for example, whether Premium is active) with your account. Billing, payment details, and refunds are handled by the app store — card and bank information never reaches SASS.
13.How long we keep information
Your account information and saved content remain while your account exists, or until you delete them or we no longer need them to operate the service. Support emails and service providers’ operational records (such as short-lived request logs) may follow their own retention practices.
14.Deleting chats and your account
- Deleting a chat removes that conversation and the images stored with it.
- Memory items can be deleted from the memory screen where available.
- Deleting your account (Settings → Delete Account) permanently removes your account, your saved chats and messages, memory items, your profile photo, and your stored chat images from active SASS systems.
Deleting your account does not cancel an app-store subscription. Apple subscriptions must be cancelled through your Apple account’s subscription settings, or the store may continue to bill you. Support emails you sent us and service providers’ operational records may persist for a period under their own practices, and deletion from every backup or third-party operational log may not be immediate.
15.Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information — including private storage buckets accessed through short-lived signed links, and encryption at rest for Private Saved Incognito text. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
16.International processing
Our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries. By using SASS, you understand that your information may be processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those where you live.
17.Your choices and privacy rights
You can, directly in the app:
- edit your profile (display name, photo);
- delete individual chats and their images;
- delete memory items where available;
- delete your account entirely.
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, or to appeal or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To make a request, contact support@trysass.com and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-app targeted advertising.
18.Children
SASS is for adults aged 18 and older. People under 18 may not create or use an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 — if you believe information from a minor may have been submitted, contact support@trysass.com and we will take appropriate steps.
19.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Continuing to use SASS after an update means the revised policy applies.
