Terms of Service

What SASS AI is, who can use it, and the rules and limits that apply.

Last updated: July 23, 2026

Operated by: SASS AI

Governing law: State of California, United States (drafting assumption — see Section 23)

1.Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SASS AI (“SASS,” “we,” “us”), covering the SASS mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2.Eligibility — adults only

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to use SASS. The Service is for adults; people under 18 may not create or use an account.

3.What SASS AI is

SASS is an AI dating and texting companion. It helps you read messages and screenshots, decode mixed signals, draft replies, compare photos, and think through dating and communication situations. SASS provides general guidance and texting support only.

4.AI limitations

SASS is an AI system, not a person, and its responses are generated automatically. That means:

  • its interpretation of text and images can be wrong;
  • it may misunderstand screenshots, tone, message sequence, who is who, or context;
  • it does not know every fact about your situation;
  • you decide what to send, do, or believe — SASS does not decide for you.

SASS does not guarantee any relationship, safety, dating, communication, or other personal outcome.

5.Not professional or emergency support

SASS is not:

  • therapy, or a mental-health professional;
  • medical, legal, or financial advice;
  • emergency or crisis support;
  • a substitute for qualified real-world assistance.

If you are dealing with danger, stalking, abuse, threats, thoughts of self-harm, or any emergency, contact your local emergency services, a crisis line available in your region, or a qualified professional. Do not rely on SASS in an emergency.

6.Your account and security

Provide accurate information when you register, keep your credentials secure, and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Contact support@trysass.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

7.Your content and ownership

You keep ownership of the content you provide to SASS — your messages, screenshots, photos, profile content, and memory items (“Your Content”).

8.Limited operating license

So the Service can work, you grant SASS only the limited permissions reasonably required to host, store, process, transmit, display, secure, delete, and otherwise operate Your Content within the Service — including having our backend, storage, and AI providers process it to generate replies. This is not a promotional or marketing license, does not transfer ownership, and does not permit sublicensing unrelated to operating the Service.

9.Content involving other people

Conversations and screenshots usually involve other people. You are responsible for having the right to upload third-party conversations, images, and information, and you should avoid uploading information you lack permission to share. Treat other people’s private information with care.

10.Acceptable use

Use SASS only for lawful, personal purposes consistent with these Terms. Respect usage limits, other users, and the people who appear in the content you share with SASS.

11.Prohibited conduct

You must not use the Service to engage in or promote:

  • illegal activity, fraud, or impersonation;
  • harassment, threats, stalking, coercion, or abuse;
  • doxxing or publishing someone's private information;
  • non-consensual intimate imagery;
  • any sexual content involving minors, or any exploitation or grooming of minors;
  • uploading content you do not have the necessary rights to share;
  • malware, automated scraping, or other abusive automation;
  • disrupting the Service or bypassing usage limits or security controls;
  • reverse engineering the Service, except where non-waivable law permits it;
  • using the Service or its outputs to train or build a competing AI system;
  • relying on SASS for emergencies or professional decisions.

We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited conduct (see Section 18).

12.Free-tier usage limits

Free usage may be limited — for example, by daily message caps enforced on our servers. Limits and availability may change as the Service evolves.

13.Premium subscriptions

SASS may offer optional Premium features through an auto-renewing subscription purchased through the app store associated with your device. Purchasing on iOS is currently administered through Apple and our subscription provider. Prices, billing periods, and renewal terms are shown before you purchase.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled according to the store's rules.
  • Cancellations and refunds are handled through the applicable store.
  • Deleting your SASS account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel through your store account settings, or the store may continue to bill you.
  • Restoring an entitlement depends on the relevant store account and its mapping to your SASS account.
  • Availability and product offerings may differ by platform or region.

14.Intellectual property

The Service — including the app, website, SASS name, branding, and design — belongs to SASS and its licensors. Except for the rights expressly given to you in these Terms, no license to the Service is granted.

15.Feedback

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve the Service without obligation or compensation to you.

16.Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties — such as app stores, hosting, storage, AI model, and subscription providers. Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

17.Availability and service changes

We may add, change, or discontinue features, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable, interrupted, or updated. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

18.Suspension and termination

You may stop using SASS at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or the Service, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits — continue to apply.

19.Account deletion and subscription cancellation

You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account); the Privacy Policy describes exactly what is removed. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel separately through the applicable store’s subscription settings.

20.Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and the accuracy, quality, or reliability of AI-generated content. You use SASS at your own discretion and risk.

21.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SASS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on SASS’s guidance. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and some places do not allow certain limitations — so parts of this section may not apply to you.

22.Your responsibility for misuse

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for — and to indemnify SASS against — third-party claims that arise from your violation of these Terms or your unlawful use of the Service. This does not apply where prohibited by law and does not cover claims arising from our own conduct.

23.Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California — except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. These Terms do not include mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.

24.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate. Continuing to use SASS after changes take effect means the updated Terms apply.
